Mounting the motor onto the Z-stage

The Z-stage is not driven by a linear servo motor, but is still the traditional corkscrew type stage driven by a rotory motor.

Unpack the Z-stage and prepare to mount the motor. It comes with different bolts for mounting the motor, and for mounting the stage to a surface.
Unpack the Z-stage motor.
The motor shaft slides into a coupler on the z-stage, The stage comes with bolts for mounting the motor to the stage.
The coupler has a small hex nut that is tightened after the motor is bolted to the stage. Rotate the coupler so that you can see the bolt through the access hole.
Slide the motor gently onto the coupling, use the accompanying screws to attach the motor to the stage. Tighten the hex nut on the coupler, but take care not to strip it.
